Bad Dreams

Jeffrey Wiener developed this series of surrealistic drawings, paintings and animations over the course of 40 years. These works (visions) reflect a dramatic spirituality discovered during many travels to the middle east, starting from his teens when he made his first visits to Israel. These artworks are also informed by an apocalyptic narrative which he was exposed to during his participation in the evangelical churches of the deep south in his early adult years. Several of these works are commissions, and “The Class of ’72” stands out as a published OpEd drawing for The New York Times.
